Senior Restoration Projects Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Restoration Projects Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in carbon and biodiversity project development, with expertise in MRV (Measurement, Reporting, Verification) principles and registry standards.
Job Description:
The Senior Restoration Projects Manager will be responsible for leading the search, screening, and due diligence of new restoration partners. This includes assessing the status of current projects against our MRV process, reviewing and optimizing our MRV process, and ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess status of current portfolio against our MRV process.
2. Review and optimise our MRV process.
3. Ensure MRV compliance throughout project lifecycle and manage payment milestones.
4. Create partner reporting templates and communication cadence.
5. Set up process for collecting compelling project content (photos, narratives, metrics) that clients can use.
6. Ensure all storytelling maintains integrity.
7. Partner sourcing: Lead search, screening, and due diligence of new restoration partners.
8. Work with leadership to structure and negotiate new project contracts.
9. Provide high-level support to existing partners to move toward registry alignment.
10. Track evolving carbon and biodiversity frameworks; guide practices accordingly.
11. Ground-truthing: Share responsibility for site visits to validate status and progress.
12. Inform platform development to standardize partner interactions and MRV workflows.
13. Guide use of AI/automation to scale quality and consistency.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in carbon and/or biodiversity project development, MRV, or registry standards. You will also need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to translate technical MRV data into compelling stories for non-technical audiences.
