Business Development Manager – Earthmoving & Forestry Equipment
National Equipment OEM has been growing over the last 30 years and has established a strong brand throughout Australia. With over 126 employees, this business has driven capital equipment sales for some of the biggest projects in Australia. They strive to be one of the leading names through excellent customer service and technical backup. With offices in QLD, NSW, WA, and key distributors nationwide, this business can provide technical support to remote regions. They have an exciting opportunity for proven sales representatives who can generate new business through cold calling and local market engagement. Like any sales role in rural areas, this position presents its challenges but also significant rewards.
Live Position -
This role involves developing new business by cold calling on building sites across Central Queensland. You will engage with key contractors and site managers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions for ongoing or upcoming projects. You will target civil, construction, local councils, utilities, and fleet customers to identify their requirements. The role entails extensive travel throughout Central QLD, managing a diverse customer list, and working in a high-performance sales environment focused on achieving top results.
You will be selling a wide range of products including:
* Excavators 1.8 to 80 tonnes
* Wheeled loaders
* Skid steers
* Forestry Mowers
* Attachments and quick hitches
* Hydraulic Hammers
* Used Equipment
Candidate Requirements –
We seek resilient individuals who can handle rejection, strive for excellence, and are motivated to succeed daily. The management team values staff dedication and offers substantial rewards based on performance. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from the sales team.
* 3+ years in Machinery or related equipment sales, such as Tractors, Forklifts, Generators, Lighting Towers, Attachments, etc., especially into civil construction.
* Proven external sales experience
* Excellent communication and listening skills
* Willingness to travel across Central QLD
* Self-motivated and proactive in developing new business
Salary Package –
Our client seeks someone eager to prove themselves and earn significant commissions. This is a true sales role with high earning potential.
* Base Salary: $130,000
* Fully Maintained Company 4WD
Initial training includes a 5-day course and mentorship from experienced sales reps in Brisbane. Ongoing support is provided by senior management based in Brisbane and Newcastle NSW. If you're a team player with a competitive edge, this role is ideal.
