Join a major Windows 11 upgrade program with long term security through to ****.
We are looking for 2 experienced Deployment Technicians to support a large scale Windows 11 upgrade and SOE rollout based at Essendon Fields, with some travel to other Melbourne sites.
You will work as part of a national deployment team building, deploying and supporting end user devices in a busy operational environment.
What you will be doing
Building and rebuilding devices for Windows 11 deployment
Setting up and maintaining the staging area for imaging and testing
Verifying hardware compatibility and readiness of target devices
Booting devices via PXE, USB or deployment server and applying SOE images
Configuring BIOS/UEFI settings where required (TPM, Secure Boot, boot order)
Joining devices to the domain or management platform (Intune, AD)
Cleaning and preparing devices prior to rebuilds
Updating the asset management system with device details and deployment status
Deployment and handover
Coordinating with users and departments for device handover
Delivering devices with required peripherals and basic instructions
Assisting users with first login and basic configuration
Verifying network connectivity, application access and printers
Ensuring data is moved to OneDrive and available post migration
Collecting old devices and arranging delivery to the nominated location
Capturing user feedback and obtaining user acceptance where required
End user support
Providing frontline support during the new SOE and Windows 11 rollout
Logging tickets and troubleshooting deployment related issues
Escalating complex problems to national deployment engineers and IT teams
Closing tickets with clear notes and resolutions
Assisting with basic documentation, FAQs and user guides
What we are looking for
Strong experience in a field technician or desktop support role
Solid experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
Hands on experience with desktop and laptop builds, imaging and deployment
Familiarity with tools such as MDT, SCCM or similar imaging platforms
Experience with Intune application deployment and basic troubleshooting
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently, follow procedures and manage time well
Current drivers licence and reliable vehicle for travel to other Melbourne sites
Relevant IT certifications are highly regarded
What is on offer
Hourly rate $42 – $47 per hour plus super, paid weekly
Base location Essendon Fields with occasional travel to other sites
Full time hours, Monday to Friday
Long term contract expected to run through to August or September ****
