Due to significant recent and planned expansions of surgical services, in addition to supporting Emergency Obstetric theatre cover 24/7, 365 day a year. We are seeking enthusiastic Registered Scrub/Scout Theatre Nurses with Anaesthetic and PACU experience with a minimum of twelve months experience to join our team to provide high quality operating theatre nursing care at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH), in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

This is a recruitment pool to fill our dedicated rotational shift team which includes Day, Afternoon and Night shifts for Permanent and Fixed Term positions. Minimum 60 hours per fortnight ( Three nights) Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

This Is An Extended Recruitment Pool, Which Means

The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basisSuitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occurAppointments may be made from this pool until 31 August 2026.

What is the Registered Nurse role in OPH theatres?

Our team of theatre nurses at OPH work within a multidisciplinary team of health professionals supporting a patient's journey. We are seeking Registered Scrub/Scout Theatre Nurses with Anaesthetic and PACU skills. Theatre Nurses without Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and Anaesthetic experience will be provided upskilling as this a mandatory requirement of this role. Theatre Nurses possessing the required mandatory skills and experience will be accepted as preferred applicants. Applicants must have no APHRA restrictions.

In this team, you have the opportunity to rotate through each area, being supported in building knowledge and experience to develop your capability.

OPH provides lower acuity and same-day surgical services in specialties including ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics including arthroplasty, Plastics, Urology including robotics and Vascular, as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Surgical and other facilities at OPH are undergoing significant expansion, including additional Birth Suites, Inpatient wards, Neonatal Unit, a High Dependency Unit and two additional theatres to be built. To Be Successful In Your Application You Must Include
