About the Role
Based at our Rip Curl HQ in Torquay we’re on the search for a Merchandise Planner. In this role you’ll drive sales, margin and inventory outcomes by analysing trends, forecasting demand and building strategic merchandise plans. You’ll work closely with Buying, Retail and Product teams to ensure the right product lands in the right places, at the right time, supporting Rip Curl’s retail and wholesale business.
What You’ll Do
* Build seasonal range plans, analyse performance and identify growth opportunities.
* Manage budgets, forecasts and OTB, ensuring inventory levels meet targets.
* Create buy plans, monitor stock health and recommend actions to protect sales and margin.
* Work with key teams across Buying, VM, Warehouse and Product to support stock flow and trade.
* Participate in trade meetings, report on performance and optimise promotional activity.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years’ experience in merchandise planning (retail or wholesale).
* Strong analytical, financial and forecasting skills.
* Advanced Excel and confidence using planning systems.
* Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently and in a team.
* A genuine interest in (or openness to learning about) surf culture.
