Position Overview
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Mechanical Engineering Intern to join its team in Oakleigh, VIC.
This is a great prospect for a recent graduate or current student to gain hands‐on experience in the field of mechanical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the mechanical engineering team in designing and developing new products
* Conduct research and analysis to support product development
* Create and modify engineering drawings using CAD software
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects
* Participate in testing and troubleshooting of products
* Assist with documentation and technical writing
* Attend meetings and provide input on project progress
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
* Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications
* Pursuing or recently completed a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
* Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
* Strong problem‐solving and critical‐thinking skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Detail‐oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Passion for learning and a desire to gain hands‐on experience in the field
* Available to work full‐time for the duration of the internship
* Hands‐on experience in a fast‐paced and dynamic work environment
* Exposure to a wide range of projects and industries
