About Us
Marist College, Emerald is a catholic co-educational secondary college situated in the Central Highlands, three hours west of Rockhampton. The College draws students from Emerald as well as surrounding rural areas including Gindie, Springsure, the Gemfields, Clermont, Blackwater, Tieri and many rural properties and currently caters for years 7-12 with an enrolment of 700 students.

Your Role
The finance assistant is responsible for providing support services to the Principal and the Finance Manager which facilitate the financial management and administration of the school.
Successful applicants for this position will be able to demonstrate:
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work under pressure and work collaboratively with others to meet timelines
Ability to flex with changing priorities, whilst maintaining a positive solution-focused outlook
High level of initiative and process thinking to ensure continuous improvement of processes
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to produce a range of documents

About You
The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent people skills, the ability to work as a part of a team, and a willingness to support students, staff, and parents of the school.
Previous experience in a busy school office environment and financial experience would be an advantage. Previous experience with TASS or similar finance systems and excellent Microsoft Excel skills would be highly regarded.
