Finance Officer - Bank Reconciliation Specialist
Location: Sydney Metro Area (Hybrid: 3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH)
Rate: Negotiable
Contract: 12 Months (Likely to extend)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days Work From Home (WFH). Note: The initial four weeks will require 5 days in the office for essential training and system handover.
Are you a Reconciliation and Excel Data expert looking for an impactful 12-month contract with a large, dynamic organisation?
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to take ownership of our daily revenue reconciliation process. This critical role is essential to managing high-volume income streams from our multi-site operations, which include multiple high-profile tourism and accommodation venues.
This position requires someone adept at investigating, problem-solving, and ensuring financial integrity across a large organisation with diverse revenue sources.
Responsibilities:
You will manage and reconcile transactions from hundreds of online and on-site sources daily. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Perform accurate and efficient daily reconciliation between our bank downloads and the SAP accounting system.
- Manage the daily settlement translation for approximately 120 EFTPOSTerminals.
- Process payments from diverse non-SAP systems for ticketing, venue bookings, accommodation, and event products.
- Systematically investigate and resolve unmatched items, journaling timing issues, and substantiating outstanding items.
- Provide detailed commentary and explanations for any outstanding payments as part of the monthly financial reconciliation.
Your Skills & Experience
We are specifically looking for a candidate who is strong in reconciliation and adept at data analysis.
Your Profile Demonstrates:
- 1-2 years of AP / AR experience is essential.
- Proven Reconciliation Experience is a must.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for managing and matching data, including advanced use of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Experience with SAP is a bonus, but proficiency with any major accounting system is acceptable.
- Must excel at data analysis, investigating variances, and systematically handling large volumes of transactions.
