We are seeking a Health Care Courier to join our team in providing quality health services to the community. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of medical samples, specimens, blood products, X-rays, and vaccines between various healthcare facilities.
About the Role:
As a Health Care Courier, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering pathology samples, specimens, blood products, X-rays, and vaccines from referring customers. You will also liaise between medical practitioners and the laboratory with regards to store orders, prepare and deliver reports, and maintain patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pick-up and delivery of medical samples and specimens to and from hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities
* Liaising between medical practitioners and the laboratory regarding store orders and specimen collection
* Preparation and delivery of test results and stock control in the laboratory
* Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a valid open Australian driver's license, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays. You should also have physical capability to handle equipment weighing up to 10-15kg and be able to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions.
