The Role of the People Services Team Leader
The People Services Team Leader is a key member of the People and Culture office in
driving true HR business partnership throughout the University. This role will lead and
inspire the People Services team and be responsible for frontline advice and
administration support with a strong focus on process improvement, implementation of
programs and initiatives to optimise the service offering and an overall continuous
improvement mindset.
The position will work closely with the People Services Manager to support the design
and implementation of contemporary and innovative human resources
programs/initiatives across the broader PCO team to improve the overall service offering.
The People Services Team Leader, provides supervision, technical support and advice
to the People and Culture Advisors and People and Culture Officers. The Team provides
professional HR generalist support that helps managers and supervisors to effectively
meet key organisational goals of their area. The Team engages and delivers a full range
of HR services to all internal stakeholders through effective consultation, coaching and
advice within the legislative and compliance framework of higher education.

The People and Culture team is an integral part of the business strategy and decision
making process focusing their efforts on strategic and operational programs and
services that supports staff and organisational objectives.
