Jadestone Energy are currently seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance team based in the Perth Office. This is a newly created role and the purpose of this role is to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‐effective maintenance of our offshore facilities to meet key HSE, production, reliability, cost, and compliance targets, with the purpose of driving asset integrity, optimal performance, and long‐term operational reliability.
About the role
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead reliability improvement initiatives, including bad‐actor investigations, RCA facilitation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
* Develop, track, and interpret reliability KPIs (MTBF/MTTR, availability, deferrals) to drive data‐led improvements.
* Identify recurring equipment failures and deliver engineered solutions that enhance reliability and maintainability.
* Optimise maintenance strategies and PM routines using RCM, FMEA, and performance insights for risk‐based decision‐making.
* Govern CMMS data quality, ensuring robust equipment hierarchies, criticality ratings, PM tasks, job plans, and BOM accuracy.
* Manage critical spares strategies, including min/max levels, obsolescence risks, and alignment with supply chain to optimise inventory.
* Provide engineering support to shutdowns/turnarounds, including scope definition, workpacks, QA/QC requirements, and post‐execution reviews.
* Develop technical work instructions, isolation plans and testing requirements to support safe and efficient maintenance execution.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and class requirements across safety‐critical and integrity‐related equipment.
* Lead engineering assessments and justifications for MOCs, deviations, temporary repairs, and equipment refurbishment scopes.
* Support production reliability by analysing deferrals, contributing to risk assessments, and enabling ALARP‐based maintenance prioritisation.
To be considered for the role
* Minimum of 7 years previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience with maintenance of compressors, turbines, pumps, steam systems, electrical and instrumentation assets.
* Relevant engineering qualification.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate well with others.
