Overview
Grade 2 Social Worker - Trauma and Head & Neck Surgery role at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Part time (0.8EFT), ongoing role based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus.
Responsibilities
- Complete psychosocial assessments and provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families and/or carers in Trauma and Head & Neck.
- You will be supported by team leaders (grade 3) and clinical leads (grade 4) on site.
- Be part of and contribute to a dynamic and progressive Social Work team.
- Foster positive team and workplace culture as a grade 2 clinician.
Qualifications
- You are a qualified Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with work experience as a hospital Social Worker.
- You are an adaptable, quick learner with proven ability to work autonomously in hospital environments.
- You are able to deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers.
- You have the experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff and students.
