Overview
Responsible for administering AmTrust’s global firewall and network infrastructure to meet business objectives. This role primarily supports the enterprise firewall infrastructure and intrusion detection system by implementing security controls to safeguard enterprise applications and data.
Responsibilities
Administer and support enterprise-wide firewall architecture, ensuring robust perimeter defense and traffic control.
Design and maintain network security diagrams for data centers, DMZs, and external connectivity.
Implement security measures using network security tools to protect the corporate environment.
Identify risks and recommend solutions to improve firewall infrastructure.
Review access requests for firewall policy adjustments, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Manage URL Filtering, Network IPS/IDS signatures, and security baselines.
Collaborate with Security team to investigate security incidents and respond accordingly.
Stay updated on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends.
Provide off-hours support for critical updates or incidents, as needed.
Maintain documentation and generate reports related to systems and network configurations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing enterprise firewall environments.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing protocols, DMZ design, and troubleshooting.
Experience with firewall administration, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, VPNs, DNS, and proxies.
Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and F5 technologies is preferred.
Ability to assess network security risks and make data-driven decisions.
