Job Role:
The Nurse Practitioner position is a vital part of our healthcare team, utilizing advanced nursing skills and complex decision-making abilities to assess and manage paediatric patients. This senior nursing role contributes to departments, the organisation, and the community through education, research, quality improvement, and professional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and manage paediatric patients within their clinical context using advanced nursing knowledge and skills
* Contribute to departments, the organisation, and the community through education, research, quality improvement, and professional leadership
* Undertake supervised practice while working towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current registration with the relevant nursing authority and current practising certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or working towards as a Nurse Practitioner with the ability to complete all requirements within 2 years
* Evidence of relevant paediatric and neonatal clinical expertise
* High degree of knowledge and necessary skills to develop practice consistent with NP Practice Standards
* Skills in the delivery of clinical education and commitment to ongoing professional and educational development of others
