About the Role



SeaLink Marine and Tourism incorporating Red Cat Adventures provide exceptional guest experiences in the Whitsundays. Leaving from Shute Harbour - this role will be responsible for the delivery of our day tour experiences to Whitehaven Beach and our Outer Reef Snorkel Tour.



The Vessel Master IV MEDII leads and manages safely and efficiently the daily operation of the vessel and its crew, ensuring the delivery of a high-standard guest tour and experience. All vessels, systems, and equipment are to be managed and maintained to the highest, safest standard of repair, achieving excellence in both a visual and functional capacity. This role will also manage the deckhands, ensuring a safe and exceptional customer experience and will seek continuous improvement in all maintenance, presentation, and operational capacities.



About You

You will have an enthusiastic attitude, who enjoys being hands-on and delivering an exceptional guest experience. You are self-motivated to achieve goals, working in a dynamic & supportive team. You will have a fun and friendly attitude This once-in-a-lifetime position will be located in the beautiful Whitsundays. A flexible approach to working hours is required regarding weekends and public holidays. Some heavy lifting and exposure to varying weather conditions are applicable.



The successful applicant will need the following:

* Unrestricted Master up to 45m with two years minimum experience in open water
* Display leadership qualities including effective communication, team-building and training, motivation, problem-solving, time management, delegation techniques
* Work efficiently and effectively under pressure
* An understanding of maintenance and marine mechanical
* Experience with tour operations
* Experience with snorkel operations highly desirable
* Adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to the role
* Safe approach to vessel operations with a passion for preserving the environment.
* Responsible service of alcohol
* Senior First Aid certification, CPR and Oxygen
* Current drivers licence
