Caulfield Grammar has been a Boarding School since its inception in 1881. Today, we have around 90 Boarders from all over Australia and overseas.
TheRole
Caulfield Grammar School is proud to be a member of the Australian Boarding Schools Association (ABSA) which serves to support and develop best practice in residential communities across Australia. We have one of the longest-running and most experienced boarding programs in Australia and we provide boarders with the best of both worlds – an exceptional education and nurturing family environment in one of the world's most livable cities.
Our boarding staff team works with the Head of Boarding to nurture strong relationships with our students and offer guidance and support across every area of development – academic, social, physical and emotional – to ensure each student has everything they need to assist them in their day-to-day life in Melbourne.
These positions include after‐hours supervision, ensuring boarder safety, and monitoring student attendance and conduct during mealtimes, meetings, and specified events.
Administration of supervision rosters, personnel management, providing guidance and security to other boarding house supervisors, rostering of student routines, and ensuring the welfare and happiness of students and peers within the boarding community.
Boarding House positions include BoardingHouse Coordinators and Boarding House Supervisors on a casual basis.
Skills andExperience
* Experience working with teenagers in residential environments
* Ability to quickly build rapport with others (boarders, parents and staff)
* A strong work ethic to commit and be available for a variety of days and times across the week including overnight shifts (as required)
* Ability to ensure rules and procedures are consistently maintained.
* Level 2 First Aid Certification, Anaphylaxis Certification, and CPR
* Current Employment Working with Children Check or VIT Registration
* Experience in social work/pastoral carer role/residential environment (desired, but not essential)
* Post‐Secondary Education Qualification (desired)
