Job Summary
We are currently seeking a practical, enthusiastic and driven customer focused Area Sales Manager who will actively promote Pentair’s pool product range across VIC. This role requires an experienced sales professional who has a solid understanding of customer and end user requirements. The successful candidate will be a results driven individual who has the ability to communicate, negotiate, influence and develop constructive relationships coupled with proven history of meeting targets, managing existing accounts and enjoying seeking new business opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
* Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned territory to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
* Achieve sales budget for the assigned territory.
* Communicate monthly forecast to Management.
* Continuously improve customer professional relationships.
* Execute marketing and promotional activities for the assigned territory.
* Train dealer network within the allocated territory.
* Provide hands-on product training in the field, along with troubleshooting and programming of automation products.
* Liaise with manufacturing plants on product availability and customer requirements.
* Contribute to the development of the national sales strategy by identifying and analyzing market and product trends.
* Resolve customer product enquiries.
Key Requirements
* Experience dealing with similar customer groups and having technical understanding of products.
* Pool product experience is an advantage.
* Ability to work autonomously is a must.
* Sales experience with proven technical aptitude.
* Demonstrated knowledge of developing and presenting product presentations.
* Management of existing accounts and relationships.
* Sound written and communication skills.
* Negotiation skills and customer focus.
* Knowledge of CRM use.
* Highly motivated with the ability to build strong business relationships.
* Microsoft Office programs knowledge – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Interstate travel as required.
