About the Role
GRIT Talent Consulting is partnering with a large Federal Government department to recruit an experienced Lead Cyber Security Advisor. This role will support cyber security risk assessments across complex ICT systems and provide guidance on compliance frameworks including PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct ICT system and application cyber risk assessments.
* Review and contribute to System Security Plans (SSPs) and related documentation.
* Advise stakeholders on cyber security compliance and recommend improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 3–5 years’ experience in cyber security risk assessments within government.
* Lead - EL1 equivalent
* Experience with Azure Cloud, legacy ICT systems, AI technology, and complex environments.
* Strong knowledge of PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight frameworks.
* Ability to communicate complex security findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives.
* Strong understanding of networking infrastructure.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Operational Technologies (OT).
