Working within the CoI Reform Implementation team, the Senior Policy and Project Officer will project manage and support the implementation of COI recommendations that the Department is responsible for. Where required, the Senior Policy and Project Officer will provide authoritative policy and project management advice, guidance and support in relation to the effective implementation of COI recommendations and DECYP's broader reform agenda to keep children safe.
The Team
The Commission of Inquiry (CoI) Implementation Team was established in DECYP to facilitate, support and coordinate the effective and efficient implementation of the CoI work program. The team acts as a connector between the Implementation Monitor, Executive Board, Ministers, other government agencies, key operational business units and other key agency stakeholders.
About the Role

We are looking for
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration status – Employment
* The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
o Conviction checks in the following areas:
+ crimes of violence
+ sex related offences
+ serious drug offences
+ crimes involving dishonesty
+ serious traffic offences
o Identification check
o Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
* A Degree or tertiary qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline is desirable.
