About the Role
We are seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join our Rockhampton Quarry team as Labourers, Front-End Loader (FEL) operators, or Dump Truck operators. The successful candidates will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the quarry, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity. This role is local only and provides an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established team.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate dump trucks and/or front-end loaders safely and efficiently on site.
* Perform general labouring duties as required across the quarry site.
* Conduct daily pre-start checks and ensure all equipment is maintained in line with site requirements.
* Follow site procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
* Assist with loading, transporting, and stockpiling materials as directed.
* Participate in site-specific inductions and comply with all Holcim and quarry operational standards.
* Support team members and maintain clear communication with supervisors and colleagues.
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience in a quarry, civil construction, or mining environment (preferred).
* Valid driver's licence (for truck operators) with a clean traffic history for the preceding 5 years.
* Current licences or tickets relevant to the role (FEL, dump truck operation).
* Ability to pass site-specific inductions, safety aptitude testing, and medical requirements as needed.
* Strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
