The Role
As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in the delivery of urban and regional planning projects. You will lead site investigations, prepare development applications and reports, liaise with clients and regulatory authorities and guide junior team members through mentorship and support.
This is a strategic and delivery-focused position for someone who is commercially astute, technically capable and client-minded.
What You’ll Do
* Manage and deliver statutory planning projects, development applications and due diligence assessments
* Provide high-quality planning advice to clients across a range of sectors
* Engage with local and state government agencies, clients and sub-consultants
* Lead site assessments and contribute to strategic planning advice
* Supervise and mentor junior and student planners
* Support business development through client relationships and repeat work
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning (or equivalent recognised by PIA)
* Minimum 6 years’ experience in statutory or strategic planning, ideally in private consultancy
* Sound knowledge of Queensland planning legislation and development processes
* Proven track record preparing and assessing planning applications of varying complexity
* Strong report writing and communication skills
* Current driver’s licence
* PIA membership or eligibility (preferred)
