Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, children and families affected by family violence.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of strong, resilient communities in Central Australia.

As an Intake and Assessment Worker, you will play a vital role in providing trauma-informed, culturally safe support to those who need it most.

You will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments, developing tailored safety plans and facilitating referrals to relevant services.

Working collaboratively with caseworkers, legal, health and housing services, you will ensure that individuals receive comprehensive support and guidance throughout their journey.

Additionally, you will work closely with women to access justice and advocacy pathways, promoting empowerment and self-determination.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.

Your strong knowledge of risk assessment and safety planning principles will enable you to provide effective support and ensure the well-being of clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field;
* Diploma in Community Services; or equivalent experience;
* Experience working in family violence or related social services, with a focus on trauma-informed practice;
* Strong knowledge of risk assessment and safety planning principles;
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
