The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of HR functions to support a positive, high-performing workforce at BeaCare. This includes recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, compliance, staff engagement, and workplace health and safety.
Working closely with the CEO and Leadership Team, the HR Manager ensures organisational compliance with relevant legislation and industrial awards while supporting change management initiatives and driving a values-based culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
Lead workforce planning and staff retention strategies.
Manage the employee lifecycle, including performance development and exit procedures.
Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
Coordinate staff training, ensure compliance with mandatory training, and support development planning.
Manage WHS systems, employee wellbeing, WorkCover, and return-to-work processes.
Provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters, including award interpretation, conflict resolution, and investigations.
Maintain HR documentation, policies, and compliance records.
Report HR metrics, risks, and opportunities to the Leadership Team.
Lead or support organisational change initiatives as required.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ generalist HR experience, preferably in a standalone or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation (Fair Work Act, NES, Up-to-date Awards, OHS Act).
Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
Experience in WHS, employee wellbeing, and organisational change.
High proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Employment Requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold valid working rights.
Required: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and qualification verification (if relevant).
A six-month probationary period applies.
Employment governed by the SCHADS Award.
