The role
Team Manager – Retail & Service Industries. Lead a team of inspectors to deliver complex WHS investigations, regulatory enforcement and WHS advice. Set expectations, develop capacity, and promote a positive team culture aligned with Department values.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead investigations, enforcement actions and WHS advice to improve safety outcomes.
* Plan, prioritise and manage operational activities and resources.
* Develop and implement initiatives aligned with the Directorate's Business Plan.
* Coach and mentor staff, provide constructive feedback and support professional development.
* Engage internal and external stakeholders, represent the Department at state and national forums.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in regulatory compliance, investigations and WHS regulations.
* Leadership experience with ability to manage a team.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Competency in project and team management.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents or hold a visa that allows indefinite stay in Australia.
Additional Requirements
Provide certification or academic transcripts where required. Consent to a nationally coordinated criminal history check.
