The School Administration Support Hub (SASH) is a shared services initiative that offers remote administration and financial services to schools throughout Victoria on a subscription basis.
It has successfully operated as part of Financial Services Division for 18 years and currently supports a variety of schools.
Selection Criteria
1. A working knowledge of school finances including the development of school budgets and key finance systems (SRP System and CASES21 Finance).
2. Demonstrated capacity in relation to human resources including the use of Department systems (eduPay, School Local Payroll and Recruitment Online) and familiarity with human resources policies and processes.
3. Demonstrated commitment to customer service, with high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently, flexibly, and constructively in a team, within a busy environment to ensure continuous and efficient operation and work proactively to enhance work systems and practices.
5. Outstanding computer skills including extensive experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and an ability to troubleshoot technical difficulties.
Role
The core function of the SASH is to provide administrative and financial support to schools with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with these key stakeholders, as well as senior management within the Department.
The SASH Senior Officer will play an active role in performing the services provided to schools in relation to subscriptions offered by the SASH.
Responsibilities
* Assisting schools with cash budgeting, Student Resource Package monitoring and processing on behalf of clients. An understanding of funding requirements and reporting obligations.
* Assisting schools in the processing of recruitment, HR requirements and School Local Payroll requests on behalf of clients. Including good knowledge of policies and agreements.
* Contribute toward the oversight and quality assurance of financial and eduPay processes undertaken by the SASH.
* Contribute to the development, monitoring and implementation of SASH policies, procedures and forms.
* Contribute to recommendations to senior management for improvements to processes and systems.
* Assist in the administration of the SASH portal and other school support interfaces.

Whilst this role is managed through Horsham Primary School, the SASH team is Ballarat based with some staff working from Horsham. SASH utilises the Departments' hybrid work arrangements. The successful applicant can work with the Ballarat based team (based in Ballarat) or with the Horsham team (based in Horsham).
There will be an expectation of office days as well as the opportunity to work from home (within any one week).
