Reporting to the National Marine Manager. In this senior technical role, you'll deliver independent, high‐quality marine surveying and loss adjusting services across marine, inland, rail and airfreight risks. You'll manage complex claims and surveys end‐to‐end, working closely with insurers, brokers and key marine stakeholders while providing coaching and support to junior team members.**Your responsibilities will include:*** Conduct marine surveys, damage assessments and loss adjusting for insurance claims* Investigate cause, liability and quantum of marine losses* Undertake cargo, container, bulk, breakbulk and project cargo inspections* Complete marine risk, warranty and condition surveys* Prepare clear, accurate reports in line with SLAs and policy requirements* Liaise with insurers, brokers, claimants, transporters and other stakeholders* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues* Support business development initiatives and client presentations* Participate in catastrophe response events as required**About you:**You're a self‐motivated marine professional who thrives in a client‐focused, autonomous environment and brings strong technical credibility.**You'll bring:*** Diploma or equivalent experience in Marine Surveying* Master Mariner, Marine Engineer or Naval Architecture qualifications (or equivalent)* Extensive experience in marine surveying and/or loss adjusting* Strong knowledge of insurance policy interpretation and claims processes* Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills* The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities* A commitment to professional integrity and Sedgwick's values***Caring Counts***It's at the heart of everything we do, and we show we care by living our five core Caring values: Empathy, Accountability, Inclusion, Collaboration and Growth.Sedgwick is an equal opportunity employer and have been named an Inclusive Employer by the Diversity Council of Australia 2023-2024.We are committed to ensuring that our recruitment process is fair and accessible for all candidates.
