Our Client
Our client is an award-winning and highly regarded agency specializing in the sale, leasing, and management of retail property in Perth.
We are now seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to work closely with the Managing Director and Head of Asset Management, as well as the broader property management team to drive the operational and strategic management of building maintenance, safety compliance, contractor performance and capital works across a portfolio of commercial properties.
The Position
Engage and manage contractors for maintenance (immediate & preventative) and CAPEX projects.
Arrange and oversee all maintenance works for key assets.
Maintain asset registers.
Manage tenant fit-outs and ensure compliance with building standards.
Conduct regular property inspections, document risk issues and implement risk-mitigation measures for key assets.
Raise purchase orders; review and approve contractor invoices.
Attend client and internal meetings and contribute to business and budget planning activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide professional building management advice.
Perform other duties as required by the Head of Asset Management or company leadership.
Mentor and lead a Facilities Coordinator.
The Criteria
Extensive experience (10+ years) in facilities management of commercial, industrial or retail property assets.
Demonstrated knowledge of contractor safety management, risk management and statutory compliance.
Proven experience in budgeting and cost control.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management capability, able to manage multiple assets simultaneously.
Current WA Driver's Licence.
Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Excellent computer literacy and business writing skills.
Experience managing or mentoring direct reports.
