About The Division / Team
Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About The Opportunity
The position is responsible for providing technical support for the track recording systems, data, and processes to provide the accurate and reliable operation of the track condition monitoring equipment.
* Operate track geometry condition monitoring and measurement system equipment using specialized track measurement & evaluation systems and software.
About You
To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in operating and maintaining equipment
* Extensive remote travel required (approx 80 days a year)
* Ability to learn, master and apply new skills, techniques and systems
* Knowledge and experience in the use of computers in a technical application
* Ability to work as an effective member of a team
* Possess a sound mechanical aptitude
* Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Drivers Licence – Class C
