Salary: Psychologist, $79,592 - $139,824 pro rata, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Preference will be given to candidates who meet the established standards of the role and are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.You'll be joiningYouth Justice is looking for cutting-edge and dynamic Provisional Psychologists / Psychologists to service the Community Office based in Grafton.
You will be part of a team of Youth Justice Psychologists reporting to a Clinical Manager, providing psychological support to the Community office.What You'll DoOperate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering psychological assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services.Provide a consultancy service to staff regarding the psychological needs of Youth Justice clients within custodial and community locations, as well as advice to statutory authorities.What You'll Do (continued)Undertake psychological assessment, intervention, and deliver therapeutic services or programs to young people who offend, including those who sexually offend.Assist in the formulation and review of individual Risk-Needs-Responsivity based case plans for management and supervision of young people on remand or sentenced to custodial or community orders.Deliver training to staff, including Youth Justice Caseworkers, in screening, identification and support of young people with mental health problems, intellectual disability or cognitive impairment.Maintain confidential documentation, including electronic Case Notes on the Client Information Management System, in accordance with departmental policies, APS guidelines on record keeping and professional ethics.Prepare reports, advice, and consultation to statutory authorities such as Children's Courts, the Serious Young Offenders Review Panel, State Parole Authority, and Mental Health Review Tribunal.Be dynamic and able to think on your feet and be responsive to individual needs and situations.What We're Looking ForMinimum four-year accredited qualification in psychologyCurrent provisional or full registration with the Psychology Board of AustraliaA current Driver's Licence with ability and willingness to travel throughout NSWCurrent NSW Working with Children Check clearanceAppointments are subject to reference checks.
