Sales Coordinator
Pacific Bay Resort has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Sales Coordinator to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Coordinator is accountable for providing the highest level of customer service and for over delivering on client and guest expectations. Aiming to exceed customer satisfaction every time, the Sales Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the smooth and efficient operation of conferences and events such as residential conferences, sporting groups, corporate meetings and the like to create a successful and truly memorable event. Our client's conferences and biggest events are in your hands, and we want you to bring your passion, positive attitude and strong attention to detail to our team, to help us manage these effectively.
Day to day you will be responsible for taking enquires, securing conferences and events, meeting with clients and conducting site visits, developing run sheets, providing advice and guidance as appropriate, liaising with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, external suppliers and relevant other stakeholders and following up after the event, to ensure the smooth running of conferences and events and that the client's expectations are being met.
As a Sales Coordinator at this large resort property the events that we host are high volume and high value. The Sales Coordinator takes complete responsibility for the event from the initial quote and enquiry stage to the events details as well as entering rooming lists and sending accounts as such, strong attention to detail is required as this is a challenging but very rewarding role.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:
ESSENTIAL
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with diverse groups of people, build rapport with ease and over deliver on the guests' expectations
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and act with a sense of urgency
* Ability to organise workflows, set priorities, and use initiative in applying work practices
* Effective and professional communication (oral and written), negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Accurate keyboard skills, sound administrative skills and strong attention to detail
* Whilst a team player, you are also self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
* Very strong financial skills, ensuring that rooms rates and conference charges all roll through the system correctly and payment terms as per company policies are adhered to
* The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high pressurised environment.
PREFERRED
* Previous experience in a similar role or previous sales experience
* Experience with Events Management software preferable
* Strong computer skills using Microsoft and excel as well as strong written communication skills
* Experience within sales or exposure to client management techniques is preferred
