About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst/Business Architect to join our team on a temporary 6-month contract basis. The Senior Business Analyst / Business Architect will play a key role in supporting SRW's digital transformation program, with an immediate focus on the Finance and Billing program and associated enabling initiatives. The role is intended to provide senior business analysis leadership, while also strengthening SRW's business architecture capability across priority transformation initiatives.
Note: This is a 6-month temporary contract role, offering a day rate between $950 to $1000 inclusive of superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, program/project managers, architects and vendors to define current state, future state, process impacts, business rules and priority requirements.
* Drive the development of high-quality project artefacts including requirements packs, business process maps, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices and decision logs.
* Support the organisation in translating strategic intent into clear business capability, process and operating model requirements, particularly across finance, billing, data, integration and related enterprise systems.
* Act as the primary BA lead for vendor-facing work, including support to procurement, tender clarification, response evaluation, discovery, solution validation and scope definition.
* Ensure requirements are structured and prioritised in a way that supports phased delivery via MoSCoW.
* Work with solution/enterprise architects to ensure business requirements are aligned to business architecture, application architecture, data flows, integration needs and target-state design principles.
* Support data and reporting analysis by identifying information needs, source systems, data definitions, reconciliation requirements and reporting outcomes.
* Develop and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from business need through to design, build, testing and implementation.
* Contribute to test readiness by supporting test scenario definition, test case review, business validation, UAT planning, defect triage and acceptance sign-off.
* Facilitate workshops, interviews and playback sessions with stakeholders and build alignment across business and technology teams.
* Identify gaps, risks, dependencies and change impacts, and provide clear analysis to support delivery decisions.
* Mentor other analysts and promote consistent business analysis standards, templates and ways of working across the program.
Requirements
* 7+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Lead Business Analyst on complex enterprise transformation programs.
* Strong experience delivering business analysis for ERP, finance, billing, procurement, fixed assets, asset management, CRM or related enterprise system implementations.
* Proven ability to lead requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, validation and prioritisation across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Experience producing high-quality artefacts such as business requirements, functional requirements, process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices and workshop outputs.
* Experience performing business architecture activities, including business capability modelling, operating model analysis, value stream/process decomposition and alignment of business needs to enterprise architecture.
* Demonstrated capability in current-state and future-state analysis, business process redesign and identification of business rules, controls and pain points.
* Strong experience working with both business and technical teams to translate business needs into solution-ready requirements.
* Experience supporting testing and business verification, including UAT preparation, scenario definition, test case review and defect management.
* Experience in ERP domain such as finance and billing, asset management, CRM etc.
* Demonstrated ability to work in vendor-enabled delivery environments, including contribution to tender/procurement support, scope clarification and design validation.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior leaders, SMEs, operational users, project teams and external vendors.
* Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, accurate and decision-ready documentation.
* Experience in managing competing priorities, ambiguity and delivery pressure in a complex organisational environment.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, associated ISVs, or equivalent ERP platforms.
* Knowledge of integration and data concepts sufficient to support requirements for interfaces, reconciliation, master data and reporting.
