**The Position**
As a Teacher's Aide at The Anglican School Googong you will be energetic, highly efficient, flexible,

Christian, actively involved in their church.

Teacher's Aide
**Specific Duties**
As a Teacher's Aide you will be expected to carry out the following duties:
**General Requirements**
- Assist teachers to provide a safe, physical, social, cultural and pastoral environment.
- Support students by building a personal rapport and working relationship with them
to develop an understanding of their individual needs and behaviours.
- Support students by building a rapport and relationship with other staff members
to assist with consultation, communication and planning for each student.
- Support students with disabilities including Autism, ADHD, ADD, ODD and learning
difficulties throughout the school day to navigate the classroom environment, specialist
- Support students who have a background in trauma and understand the complications and
complexities of this background.
- Support students to take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour,
providing guidance and explicit teaching of executive functioning skills.
- Guide students in managing classroom expectations, both in terms of academic
performance and behaviour, as determined by the class teacher, diverse learning teachers,
- Provide a change of environment or respite to some students as required, by supervising
rest breaks of different kinds, as directed by the classroom teacher, Diverse Learning
Teachers or Heads of School.
- Accompany students with high needs on outside activities/excursions and camps.
- Carry out student individual and group assessment as directed by Diverse Learning
Teachers or Heads of School.
- Support the provision and implementation of disability adjustments to support student
learning as guided for ILP.
- Assist with the development of differentiated learning resources for students as directed.
- Contribute effectively to a collaborative team to best meet the learning and wellbeing
needs of individual students.
- Provide general support to teachers and children as the need arises.
- Other duties as directed by the Head of School or Principal.
