Hybrid Infrastructure Services Manager
This is a highly sought-after role for a collaborative and supportive professional to lead the delivery of hybrid infrastructure services within a small, skilled, and inclusive ICT team.
* The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and enterprise Linux environments, including SOE management, system hardening, patching, and configuration management.
* They will also be skilled in ITIL-based environments, with experience supporting change-managed systems, enterprise backup solutions, and virtualisation technologies.
* Familiarity with core cloud services (AWS and/or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates is also essential.
The selected individual will play a key role in delivering reliable and secure platforms, overseeing day-to-day infrastructure operations, and ensuring system reliability and performance by responding to incidents, conducting root cause analysis, maintaining runbooks, and providing escalation support.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of motivating and inspiring team members to reach their full potential, with excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
They will also possess a passion for coaching and development, with a view to building high-performing teams that drive automation and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a high-performing team, including managing an on-call roster and extended hours where needed, while offering guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
* Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, covering Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation platforms, cloud services, networking, and backup/recovery functions.
* Help ensure system reliability and performance by responding to incidents, conducting root cause analysis, maintaining runbooks, and providing escalation support.
* Develop and maintain operational procedures, ensuring they meet compliance standards and supporting improvements through structured change management processes.
* Implement and maintain OS-level security controls and monitoring tools, and work collaboratively across teams to drive automation and operational efficiencies.
As a technical hands-on leader, the successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead physical and remote teams, with a track record of motivating and inspiring team members to reach their full potential.
