We have an immediate need forWHS Business Partner for short term contract with our community sector client.
In this crucial role, you will take the lead in driving initiatives that promote safety compliance and employee well-being, helping to cultivate a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage strategic WHS plans and programs tailored to organisational needs.
• Collaborate with business leaders to ensure compliance with WHS regulations and implement preventative measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential risks and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all WHS-related incidents, including emergency management procedures.
• Chair the OHS Committee, liaising with health and safety representatives and ensuring staff training is up-to-date.
• Lead investigations into WHS incidents and implement effective corrective actions to improve safety outcomes.
Key Skills & Attributes:
• Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities.
• Expertise in wellbeing and health promotion strategies.
• Ability to research and implement best practices in line with regulatory requirements.
• Proactive approach to injury prevention and the development of a safety-oriented culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience in a similar WHS role within a medium to large-sized organisation.
• A Diploma in Health & Safety (preferred).
• Certification in Return to Work (preferred).
• Relevant clearances, including Working with Children Employment Check, NDIS Workers Screening, and NDIS Workers Orientation Module.
• In-depth knowledge of WorkCover, injury management, and wellness programs.
