Job Description:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred active support to individuals with disabilities in Orange.
The role involves working across different support programs, including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyle and Community Program.
You will be required to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and public holidays, with opportunities to work in shared housing or client's homes.
* Provide daily personal care, including bathing, shaving, and toileting
* Offer mobility assistance, lifting, transferring, and hoisting clients
* Follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
* Track and document client needs through thorough record-keeping
* Bolster positive relationships with clients, families, and team members
* Advocate for client choice and control in a safe and compliant manner
Requirements:
* Unrestricted New South Wales driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Commitment to flexible work hours, including public holidays
* Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on mobile and desktop devices
* A current First Aid Certificate
