About the role
We're excited to welcome a motivated and experienced Site Supervisor/Estimator to our expanding team in Coffs Harbour.
This unique role combines hands-on on-site supervision with estimating duties, offering a dynamic and rewarding career path. As a Site Supervisor/Estimator, the majority of your role will be supervising, in which you will play a key role in overseeing projects while also managing cost estimations, allowing you to develop a broad skill set in the construction field.
As a Site Supervisor/Estimator, you will have a sound understanding of legislation, regulations, and codes of practice relevant to construction & residential requirements on worksites. You will assess damage, and information, report on the scope of work to complete, collect supporting evidence, and estimate project costs.
Additionally, you will supervise the work, coordinate trades, and ensure that all work is completed on time and to RPF quality standards. No two days will be the same, and your ability to manage both time and priorities will be essential to success.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:
· Trade qualification in carpentry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Supervisor/Estimator
· Strong estimating skills, capable of producing accurate and competitive tender submissions
· Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans
· Team-oriented and customer-focused mindset, paired with a responsible and results-driven approach
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
· Current driver's licence with a clean driving record
· Valid White Card and QBCC certification
· Working at Heights Certificate
· Experience with home warranty insurance is advantageous but not mandatory
· Solid knowledge of site development, residential construction techniques, permitting processes, and inspections
· Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, effectively managing multiple competing priorities
This is a full-time permanent position, and remuneration will be paid commensurate with skills and experience.
