In this role, you'll

Work as part of the electrical and signals team delivering key projects across our Major Works business.This role will see you working across the maintenance, renewal, refurbishment and construction of substations, overhead wiring, transmission lines, track circuits, signals, interlocking and turnout assets, among others.
You will have the opportunity for genuine long-term career development as you will be responsible for providing key mentorship and guidance to the Graduates in the Program, Assistant Engineers and Project Engineers.
You will be given an opportunity to work on a large variety of signals projects, such as track circuit upgrades, points machine renewals, LED signal upgrades, relay replacement, Interlocking upgrades, re-signalling's. You will also have the chance to work on new and emerging technology that improves and enhances our network, such as automated train protection technology and digital systems.

About you


• You will be providing technical advice and sharing knowledge to build the technical capability of the Project Engineering & Support team.

• You will work closely with program managers and project managers, providing valuable experience and guidance to help the signals projects run smoothly and efficiently.

• You will have prior experience working as a Project Engineer and will be able to demonstrate the ability to guide and mentor more junior team members.

• You will be utilising your electrical and signals experience to produce scope of works - being involved from conception through to planning and delivery.

• You will be safety-minded and able to facilitate a supportive work environment, leading by example to deliver a high standard of work for our customers.

• Prior railway experience as project engineer
This is a full-time RC6 opportunity with flexible working arrangements. You will be required to be on site where necessary to support projects, with occasional night or weekend works.
