We are currently seeking an experienced AI Business Analyst for our federal government client, who understands that AI implementation is about more than just technology; it's about ethical frameworks, human oversight, and delivering meaningful results.
This is an opportunity to join a team shaping the next wave of AI‐enabled services. You will bridge the gap between complex data capabilities and real‐world business problems, ensuring that innovation remains transparent, compliant, and human‐centric.
The Role
As an AI Business Analyst, you will build a deep understanding of business challenges and translate them into clear, testable user stories for multi‐disciplinary agile teams. You will be the guardian of the AI lifecycle, ensuring explainability and auditability are baked into every feature.
Your responsibilities include:
* Eliciting and decomposing complex AI requirements into epics, features, and user stories with rigorous acceptance criteria.
* Defining non‐functional needs specific to AI, including transparency, safety, robustness, and privacy.
* Determining where AI adds value versus rules‐based logic, and specifying critical 'Human‐in‐the‐Loop' (HITL) checkpoints.
* Partnering with data scientists and engineers to turn business outcomes into model objectives and data constraints.
* Ensuring all AI artifacts align with internal policies and data governance frameworks, coordinating approvals through professional governance forums.
* Co‐designing frameworks for performance monitoring, drift detection, and fairness over time.
Your Experience
* 3+ years as a Business Analyst within digital delivery and agile environments.
* Hands‐on experience supporting AI‐enabled products within the Microsoft Stack (ML, NLP/LLMs, Copilot, or intelligent automation).
* Ability to write testable stories for AI features, including evaluation metrics, guardrails, and prompt/model assumptions.
* A deep understanding of 'Privacy by Design', bias mitigation, and human oversight.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and influence decisions using evidence and prototypes.
* Expert‐level use of Azure DevOps and Miro (or equivalent).
