The Senior Network Engineer is crucial for delivering expert technical services related to the development, design, and operation of high-performance technology infrastructure for the Westpac Group. This role integrates operations and project responsibilities, focusing on domestic and international networks leveraging Cisco SD-WAN and SDA Campus Network Architecture.
Key Responsibilities :
Network Management: Oversee both domestic (branches and corporate sites) and international networks. Engage in the Branch Network Transformation Evergreen Program, including the refresh of branch networks and equipment.Troubleshooting: Address and resolve issues in collaboration with internal teams and external service providers as needed.Project Execution: Complete project deliverables and manage change implementations efficiently.Hybrid Work: Maintain a hybrid working arrangement, with some office presence for team activities and on-site troubleshooting as required.Infrastructure Provisioning: Manage the provisioning of new and existing switching infrastructure, address "End of Life" risks, and oversee capacity management across corporate, branch, and international centers.On-Call Support: Participate in the on-call roster as needed.What's in it for me?

What do I need?
Enterprise Network Expertise: Deep understanding of enterprise networks and related technologies.Network Protocols: Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, VXLAN, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching concepts.Scripting and Automation: Experience with Python or Ansible scripting, and integration with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.SD-WAN and Cisco Technologies: Familiarity with SD-WAN (preferably Viptela), Cisco SDA Network, and Cisco DNA-C.Wireless Implementation: Knowledge of wireless deployment and Cisco ISE.ITIL Framework: Understanding of incident, change, and problem management processes.Network Design and Implementation: Experience in designing and deploying enterprise networks.Cloud Infrastructure Management: Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM (Infoblox), and network troubleshooting and visibility tools.This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to influence significant network transformations within the Westpac Group.
