Position Overview
The Senior Cook is responsible for leading daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership, and a commitment to food safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present meals to a high standard across lunch and dinner services.
* Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate workflow during peak service periods.
* Assist with menu development, stock control, and supplier coordination.
* Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and productive kitchen culture.
Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
* Formal trade qualifications in cookery or hospitality.
* Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Strong communication, time management, and team leadership skills.
