We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this key position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the national payroll function.
You will work closely with the Payroll Supervisor to process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for over 5,000 employees across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate within the team to process end-to-end payrolls, including terminations and ad-hoc payments.
* Perform general payroll duties, including accurate data entry for new associates and employment changes.
* Partner with business stakeholders to interpret and ensure correct application of legislation requirements.
* Resolve payroll queries from associates and internal partners with a strong customer service focus.
* Reconcile and process PAYG withholdings, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers' compensation.
* Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end reporting.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in high-volume, transactional payroll environments, with strong knowledge of payroll legislation and procedures.
They will possess excellent analytical skills, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
The successful candidate will also have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting, analysis, and reconciliations, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
