Your new roleYou will play a key role in driving financial insight and supporting critical budget processes across a complex program environment. You will operate at the centre of financial decision-making, working closely with stakeholders and senior leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development and delivery of Budget Estimates and external budget processes
* Maintaining accurate financial data within budget systems such as CBMS and TM1
* Contributing to internal operating and capital budget development and mid-year reviews
* Providing financial analysis, identifying trends and anomalies, and delivering actionable insights
* Supporting the preparation of key external budget publications
* Engaging with finance business partners and stakeholders to ensure high-quality financial outcomes
What you'll need to succeed To excel in this role, you will bring a strong mix of technical capability and stakeholder engagement skills, including:
* NV1 or higher security clearance
* Experience or understanding of Federal Budget processes and financial frameworks
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
* Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* A collaborative mindset with demonstrated initiative and attention to detail
* Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, commerce or business (desirable)
