HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngster) is a free, two-year home-based early childhood learning program that empowers parents and carers to be their child's first teacher.

Working as the Team Leader of the HIPPY program reporting to the Service Manager, you will coach, supervise and support a small team of Tutors. This role will oversee the day to day operations, including monitoring expenses, undertaking development plans for tutors and developing resources that are culturally appropriate. You will build and strengthen local relationships with communities, families and other local service providers.

This is a part time (0.8 FTE - 30 hours per week), contract opportunity based in Kalgoorlie until December 2026.

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Community Services or equivalent qualification in a related field
* Experience working in an early childhood service or system and strong foundations in early childhood development and/or early intervention programs for children and their families.
* Knowledge of and experience working with children and families, particularly in disadvantaged communities including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
* Be experienced in leading a team of paid and unpaid staff
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good computer literacy skills (Microsoft Word essential)
* Bring strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
* Have experience working in local communities and building local networks and relationships with service providers

The successful applicant must also have a valid National Police Clearance and a WA Driver's Licence.

A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we review any disclosures on an individual basis, focusing on relevance to the role.

Sharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact to the lives of families and communities across the state.

In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.

Also:

* From $99,469.50 per annum pro rata + remote localities allowance + 12% superannuation
* Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
