The Role
This challenging position will see you be responsible for procurement and logistics coordination of parts and materials for Isa Processing Site Services Workshop within NQ Metals. This is a residential role in Mount Isa working a 5/2, 4/3 roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Procurement of parts and materials to enable the effective execution of workshop activities
Tracking of requisitions, purchase orders and part delivery ETA's
Manage parts and materials by ensuring items and catalogued and have the desired stock levels and reorder points
Maintain and update SAP data with parts availability and tracking ensuring schedule forecasts can be met
Manage rotable spares and process alignment between execution and warehouse departments
Receive and manage parts deliveries and part storage
Manage and maintain order and parts tracking reports to team members
Liaise with planners and supervisors to forecast parts demand for upcoming work
Identify opportunities to improve spare parts availability, standardisation, and cost efficiency
Communicate parts availability, delays, and risks to relevant stakeholders
Conduct workshop and store inspections
Promote best-practice materials management aligned with site standards and governance
Contribute to Visible Felt Leadership by conducting safety interactions, PTO's and area inspections
Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, planners and execution team members
You will have the following skillset and attributes
Experience using CMMS (SAP or similar) and inventory management systems
Exposure to large mining, manufacturing or warehouse procurement environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate level of Microsoft office suite; Project, Excel, Word
Ability to demonstrate a high standard and commitment to a safe work culture
Trade/Engineering background highly regarded
