North Queensland Bulk Ports is seeking a Senior Asset Engineer to manage and optimise critical marine and port assets. You'll drive strategic asset planning, deliver engineering projects, lead inspections, and support sustainable, high‐value outcomes for the region. Key Responsibilities
* Lead strategic asset management and lifecycle planning for marine and port assets.
* Conduct engineering inspections, audits, and investigations.
* Manage maintenance programs, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
* Deliver repair and upgrade projects, including contract administration (projects up to $10M+).
* Oversee consultants and contractors to ensure quality, cost, and risk standards.
* Act as Key User for asset systems (e.g., OnePort).
* Mentor and support engineering and technical team members.
About You
* Degree in civil/structural/coastal engineering.
* Strong experience in asset management for steel/concrete infrastructure, ideally in port or marine environments.
* Skilled in inspections, project delivery, cost estimation, and contract administration.
* Confident communicator who can build relationships and lead teams.
* Analytical, practical problem-solver who works independently and meets deadlines.
