Mining Engineer Planning
This is a key role within the mining industry that involves overseeing mine planning, factoring in financial, geotechnical, geological, and mining methods considerations.
* Short-term planning involves creating monthly/quarterly schedules to ensure efficient mine operations.
* Long-term scheduling requires assistance with developing life-of-mine and budget/forecast schedules to guarantee future viability.
* Monitoring and support entails analyzing plan compliance, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency.
* Cost management involves closely monitoring underground costs to maximize value.
* Identifying hazards and risks at early stages enables effective control measures to be implemented during design.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field, accompanied by 3+ years of underground mine engineering experience. Experience with mine design software, such as Deswik and Aegis, is highly valued.
This role offers opportunities for growth and development within a dynamic team. The position will be based in Perth, working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.
