Overview
BRIEF SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Employees are required to undertake duties and responsibilities in accordance with OVIS Community Services Code of Conduct, Policies/ Procedures and relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
* Support and lead in best practice across OVIS Community Services for all clients that are impacted with AOD concerns.
* Work with each Service Lead and other Practice Leads to work on all practice areas such as client journey mapping and all documentation for the organisation.
* Work with Executive Manager on Practice Guidelines.
* Provide clinical supervision for some of the coordinators and other members of the team, as well as other staff as required.
* Make recommendations and write policies and procedures regarding practice.
* Focus on working with WANDA and Centre of Women's Wellbeing and Safety to bring in best practice as the Centre rolls it out.
* Develop and run organisational wide trainings around working with clients who use Alcohol and Drugs.
* Research, develop and implement evaluation tools and evidence-based tools to evidence our outcomes.
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling, or similar equivalent work experience within the sector.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting women and children who have experienced family and domestic violence.
* Experience working with very complex cases involving FDV, AOD and significant mental health. Including working with clients in crisis.
* Understanding of issues impacting people from vulnerable backgrounds including ATSI, CALD and those who identify as LGBTIQA+. Demonstrated ability to work in culturally safe and appropriate ways with these vulnerable clients.
* Understanding of trauma informed practice and client centred ways of working.
* Well-developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge and practice of confidentiality.
* Experience in working within a collaborative case management model.
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
