About the Role
In this hands‐on role, you will primarily be responsible for owning the end‐to‐end planning process, including demand forecasting, supply planning, production scheduling and inventory management. Collaborating closely with senior leaders and departments across the business, you will prepare regular reports and analysis which contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in planning accuracy, process efficiency and data integrity. You will be responsible for developing and executing short-, mid- and long‐term production and demand plans, while working closely with cross‐functional teams to ensure operational alignment and on‐time delivery.
This role will also play a key role in the business' implementation of a new ERP system, which is set to take place in early 2027. The successful candidate will be Adelaide based, travelling to visit the manufacturing facility in Glossop.
Your other key responsibilities include:
* Leading end‐to‐end production planning, including scheduling, forecasting and capacity alignment
* Developing and maintaining material production schedules, material requirements planning and inventory planning processes
* Driving Sales & Operations Planning to align demand and supply
* Analysing data, trends and performance to improve planning accuracy and efficiency
* Identifying risks and implementing solutions to support continuity of supply
* Collaborating with cross‐functional teams to ensure timely delivery and operational alignment
About you
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in planning, ideally within a manufacturing (or similar) environment, with the ability to look beyond day‐to‐day operations and focus on driving broader process improvements. You are confident in working with stakeholders and using data to improve planning performance and productivity.
You will demonstrate:
* Experience in production planning, supply chain and manufacturing (or similar) environments
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes
* The ability to analyse production performance and identify opportunities for improvement
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI or similar)
* Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting methods and advanced Excel capability
* A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on efficiency and optimisation
It is also advantageous, however not essential, that the successful candidate is tertiary qualified in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline.
