We are leaders in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention.
About the Service:The Medicare Mental Health Service provides free access to trained professionals within communities, outside a clinical setting. The new services in Devonport, Burnie and Outer Hobart are co-funded by governments to provide streamlined support for better mental health and social wellbeing across the country. The service is tailored to meet the needs of communities in Tasmania, providing a combination of peer-integrated recovery and clinical support. A safe, welcoming and supportive environment allows individuals experiencing psychological distress to:
* Identify alternatives to visiting Emergency Departments
* Access support from trained professionals in their local community
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and management to site-based teams.
2. Deliver high-quality care provision, ensuring all governance targets are met.
3. Work with regional managers to support innovation and quality improvement.
Requirements:
* Mental health-related qualifications as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, OR a Mental Health Social Worker, eligible for related registration.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or extensive experience as a Senior Clinician providing clinical support.
* Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of evidence-based interventions & clinical practice.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with consumers, advocate on their behalf and establish relationships with staff, clients, families & stakeholders.
* Proven experience in managing governance, supervision, mentoring, data capture and reporting to meet key contractual benchmarks.
* Current driver's license.
* Eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC and NDIS worker screening.
