To ensure that a high-quality early learning environment is offered to all children and families enrolled at the Balga Early Learning Centre. This position will lead the kindy room team and oversee the room curriculum, provide mentoring and daily operations support to the kindy team.
Responsibilities
1. Must maintain at all times strong supervision of children across all rooms and age groups, ensuring room ratios are correct and in line with industry best practice.
2. Provide and create a curriculum of educational learning for the kindy children that is based on the Early Years Learning Framework. Create a learning environment which is safe and where activities are appropriate and engaging.
3. Ensure the standard of learning and care provided to children (and families) is of an excellent standard leading to a high level of satisfaction.
4. Ensure that curriculums are embedded with Early Years Learning Framework principles and practices; provide clear evidence of kindy learning in an open and transparent environment.
5. Oversee and ensure the completion and compliance of children\'s planning, learning and evaluation documentation in line with regulatory bodies and industry best practice.
6. Room Leader & Mentoring
* Mentor and guide inexperienced staff/educators to meet the required standard of behaviour and conduct consistent with a Level 1 in the Capability Framework.
* Collaborate with the ELC Director to ensure the professional practices of the ELC are of a high standard.
* Promote, foster and encourage staff to operate in line with ACECQA National Quality Standards.
* Attend professional development training and workshops relevant to the position in collaboration with the ELC Director.
* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment by contributing to staff meetings.
* Ensure practice of self is always in line with TSA Work, Health & Safety.
